About

Alexia Tucker

Alexia Tucker is an illustrator and designer living on the Welsh border.  Having trained at Falmouth College of Arts, she moved to the countryside after several years working in Bristol as part of the Drawn in Bristol collective.  She now lives on a hillside with her partner, dog and three small boys, in the midst of the chaos of doing up a 300 year old Welsh farm cottage.  The family spend the summer months living in their self-converted tiny home truck, travelling to festivals and producing large scale games venues and more.

A London upbringing followed by years spent discovering the wilderness of Cornwall, and now Wales, has inspired a particular delight in exploring the subtle details of her subjects. Alexia takes great joy in bringing together her myriad of characters in unexpected and playful juxtapositions.  Alexia’s life-like creatures and characterful buildings combine delicate line drawing with wit and humour.

From single illustration commissions, to overseeing new company branding, Alexia can work to varying briefs in terms of design and delivery.  Her vibrant, colourful work has been commissioned by clients such as Lost & Grounded Brewers, Larmer Tree Festival, Hay Festival, Telegraph, Superlove Merino, various independent businesses, festivals, arts venues and advertising agencies around the UK.

Alexia also works as a Director of her other family business Village Circus, known for running The Club House at Wilderness & Shambolympics at Shambala.
